“Magnolia Mural”

The client’s goal for this project was to add to the environment of their backyard pool space. The entire pool is completely surrounded by big beautiful Magnolia trees with their large blooming flowers. The arrangement of the floral elements and the composition as a whole are meant to work with the existing architectural lines from the windows, gutters, roof, and doors. A modern, urban style was added to the designing of the floral elements. The different elements are pulled to the foreground, as others are pushed behind the many horizontal bars throughout the composition, to give the viewer an illusion of space on the flat wall. The color palette was meant to be toned down, in order to be careful not to overpower the space it resides in.
